eHopp is an event registration, ticketing and attendee messaging service operated by Axiomatrix, Inc. (“eHopp”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use eHopp, as an event organizer or as an attendee, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

Organizers and attendees

Organizers use eHopp to run their events. When you register for an organizer’s event, the organizer decides what information to collect and how to use it, and eHopp processes that information on the organizer’s behalf. The organizer’s own privacy policy also applies. For the accounts organizers and attendees hold with eHopp itself, we decide how the information is used.

Information we collect

  • Account and contact details: name, email address, and, where you or the organizer provide it, a mobile phone number.
  • Registration and ticket details: the events you register for, ticket types, answers to an organizer’s registration questions, and check-in records.
  • Payment details: payments are processed by our payment processor. We receive confirmation of the payment and limited details such as the card brand and last four digits; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Communication preferences and consent: which channels (email, text message, WhatsApp) you agreed to, when, and the wording you were shown, as well as unsubscribe and opt-out requests.
  • Device and usage information: pages viewed, browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and diagnostic data when something goes wrong. Some of it is collected with cookies and similar technologies, as described under Cookies and analytics.

How we use information

  • To provide eHopp: registration, tickets, payments, refunds and check-in.
  • To send the messages you asked for or that relate to your registration, such as confirmations, reminders and changes to an event.
  • To send marketing messages from an organizer, only where you have agreed to receive them, and to honor your choice when you opt out.
  • To keep eHopp secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems.
  • To understand how eHopp is used so we can improve it.
  • To meet our legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Text messages and mobile information

If you agree to receive text messages, we use your mobile number to send event reminders, updates and occasional offers from the organizers of events you registered for. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. See the SMS terms for the full program details.

We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers or text-message opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is shared only with the service providers that deliver our messages, and with the organizer of the event the message is about, who holds your registration.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies that eHopp needs to work, such as keeping you signed in and remembering your choices. We also use an analytics provider, PostHog, to understand how people find and use eHopp, measure whether changes help, and fix problems. On our website and in the organizer console, its cookies recognize your browser across both, so a visit and a later sign-up can be counted together. On event and ticket pages, analytics are anonymous: page views are counted without analytics cookies and are not linked to you or to your other visits.

On our website and in the organizer console, the analytics provider may also record how pages are used, such as clicks, scrolling and the pages you move between. Text you type is masked before it is recorded; in the organizer console all text on the page is hidden too. We do not record ticket purchase or ticket pages, and we remove ticket, invitation and other private links from the addresses we record.

  • Outside the United States, we do not set analytics cookies or record anything until you accept. Event pages do not ask; they count nothing unless you have accepted.
  • In the United States, we use analytics cookies unless you opt out, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out.

You can change your choice at any time with Privacy choices at the bottom of our pages. Your choice is remembered for six months and applies across ehopp.io and its subdomains.

How we share information

  • With organizers: the organizer of an event you register for receives your registration, ticket, check-in and communication-preference information for that event.
  • With service providers: companies that host eHopp, deliver email and text messages, process payments, authenticate users, and help us monitor, analyze and secure the service. They may use the information only to provide those services to us.
  • For legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, the public or eHopp.
  • In a business transfer: as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Your choices and rights

  • Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any marketing email. With an eHopp account you can change your email, text and WhatsApp preferences in your account.
  • Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving texts.
  • We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out of sharing for advertising and, in the United States, of analytics cookies.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain uses. Make a request through our data request form. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Where we process information for an organizer, we may refer your request to that organizer.

Retention

We keep personal information for as long as we need it to provide eHopp, meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Organizers decide how long their attendee information is kept, within those limits. Records of consent and opt-outs are kept as evidence of your choices.

Security

We protect personal information with administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. To report a vulnerability, see our security policy.

Children

eHopp is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Where information is processed

eHopp is operated from the United States, and information is stored and processed there. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for transfers from other countries.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new “last updated” date and, if the changes are significant, tell you in advance.
